Improvements to the trail are proposed for approximately a four-mile section from I-35 Frontage Road East to the Cool Springs Nature Park.
The interlocal agreement between Hays County and the City of Kyle for $10M includes funds for improvements to Plum Creek Trail. The improvements are proposed for approximately a four-mile section from I-35 Frontage Road East to the Cool Springs Nature Park. This trail segment is east of I-35 and passes through several parks, two-disc golf courses, a dog park, and several playground areas. This trail segment specifically assists residents living on the east side of the County to access services in the city center. In addition to the Parks Bond funds committed by Hays County, the City of Kyle has also committed to matching funds for the Plum Creek Trail Improvements.
